In this role you underwrite Engineering treaty and facultative business across Germany, Austria and the Nordic markets, supporting broader EMEA activities. You combine technical risk assessment with client strategy to strengthen Swiss Re's market-leading position. You will collaborate with clients and internal partners to design innovative reinsurance solutions for construction, infrastructure, and renewable energy projects. This is a hands-on, globally connected role that blends risk expertise with market development and thought leadership. Your work will directly impact risk transfer for complex engineering risks and the company’s growth.

Verantwortungsbereiche

• Underwrite Engineering treaty and facultative business with a focus on Germany, Austria and the Nordic markets, including technical and actuarial assessments, wording reviews, and client negotiations
• Conduct post-underwriting activities such as risk surveys, portfolio reviews, account servicing, and claims support
• Source and develop new Engineering business by deepening relationships with insurers and brokers, targeting construction, infrastructure, parametric, and renewable energy covers
• Strengthen Swiss Re's market position in the German, Austrian, and Nordic engineering reinsurance space in line with strategy
• Deliver expert client service through timely advice, training sessions, and workshops
• Drive product innovation by collaborating with clients to design tailored reinsurance solutions
• Enhance external visibility through market events, thought leadership, and social media
• Collaborate across units to identify/develop new Opportunities within Transactions and Solutions
• Contribute to the Global Engineering community with knowledge sharing and special projects
• Support strategic initiatives for the Special Lines business

Zentrale Anforderungen

• 3+ years in (re)insurance, with preference for Engineering Lines underwriting
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in underwriting/risk assessment IT tools
• Proficiency in English and German (written and spoken)
