room to contribute Your tasks Lead and develop a small underwriting team, setting clear priorities and supporting strong commercial outcomesUnderwrite new and renewal marine risks, maintaining a balanced portfolio in line with company guidelinesAnalyse submissions, claims history, and loss ratios to support sound pricing and decision makingManage complex and large deals from initial submission through to proposal and bindingEnsure underwriting activity complies with authorities, governance standards, and regulatory requirementsPartner with claims, data, and sales teams to identify risk trends and support a smooth customer experience Your skills Proven experience in underwriting, supported by an insurance or underwriting qualificationPrevious experience leading or mentoring a team, with the ability to set priorities and monitor performanceStrong numerical and analytical skillsHigh
attention to detail, with the ability to interpret data accurately and apply sound judgementClear and confident communication skills, with the ability to work comfortably with internal stakeholders and external customers.
